At I DEFY FITNESS we focus on gaining/maintaining strength, mobility, muscle activation, with mind-body awareness and transferring those skills to safely performing high intensity strength training and metabolic workouts.
Our goal every workout is to go as hard as your form can hold. This creates an environment where you to push yourself safely and effectively allowing your body to recover, strengthen, and rebuild. Many of the exercises create an environment where you can heal old injuries, decompress joints, and create a stronger healthier body.
Following this format we build to DEFY limitations and barriers keeping your from your goals. Each workout incorporates the full body placing emphasis on each component of fitness strength, cardiovascular conditioning, stability, and mobility. Scott Sonderman DPT

Growing up as an athlete Scott has always been interested in fitness, movement, and health. Scott excelled as a basketball player earlier on winning multiple state championships in his career. Since then he has expanded his horizons earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy form Washington Univeristy- St. Louis and a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. Through these degrees Scott has had the opportunity to rehab and train professional, collegiate, and high school athletes. He has also had extensive experience with a wide variety of people from weekend warriors to desk jockeys to new moms looking to shed that baby weight.
Scott places the highest importance on good movement patterns while working out to create longevity and lasting results. Although he is here to make you work hard he looks long term with health and fitness. He has done extensive education through the ONNIT ACADEMY becoming certified in their Foundations and Durability training. He also has become a specialist for Steel Maces, Battle Ropes, Steel Clubs, and Kettlebells. Scott has also completed training through DVRT (sandbags), TRX, USA Weightlifting, Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Kinesiotaping, Manual Therapy, Spinal Manipulation and many others.
