Stability and strength starts with breathing. If you can't breathe properly then you can't effectively brace your spine and produce effective power throughout the rest of your body.
Follow this progression to get your breathing right and see the improvements in your stability.
Take your time going through this progression and master each technique before moving onto the next. If you find a position where your breathing becomes difficult to control practice daily.
After you are able to achieve the power brace, you back through the positions of the breathing progression and use the power bracing technique in them.
